Columbus needs a bank Congratulations to those citizens seeking a bank for Columbus. Now is the time for all our citizens to express themselves, by letter, if possible, to President Wm. A. McFarland of the Chamber of Commerce. We only get what we go after with united effort. The Hatch Mill, Southern Woven Label Co., and their employees; county government and other aerencies. all need convenient access to a bank in Columbus. Then think of the hundreds of farmers with their cattle and numerous other farm products, and many home owners and storekeepers who have to travel over four miles to the nearest bank and then have to hunt for a parking space. Columbus is growing and has plenty of space. Another good industry wants to come here if we can give the financial aid made possible through a bank where our resources can be pooled for the benefit of all. Let’s do something about it—fellow citizens ! COLUMBUS HAS PROGRESSIVE STORES!
